Check the fluid in the battery, fully charge the battery, and add a little stabilizer to the fuel.
When storing an electric for the winter, proper procedures must be followed. Check that the correct level of fluid is in all the batteries. Fully charge the batteries, and disconnect the positive and negative leads running the system. This is putting your golf car "to sleep".
Annually you should replace the air filter, fuel filters, oil and oil filter, and spark plug. You should also grease the front end, check the fluid in the batteries, and visually inspect the battery cables. In addition, a certified mechanic should annually or biannually inspect the belts, the brushes in the starter, and check the brakes for proper adjustment and hold.
Batteries require regular attention. From checking fluid levels in the cells, to cable inspection, to proper storing of it for the winter all electrics require maintenance. This is important to prolong the life of your batteries.
The standard for OEM quality is established for a reason. Most people think they are just paying for a name but that is not always true. Many after market products do not fit as well or do not work as well or hold up as long.. All manufacturers can void your warranty if non OEM parts are used.
The manufacturer recommends you run a quality 10W30 in your OHV engine. |
